Excellent Glance Out Mitigation
The pin bushings from Top Hat Archery offer superb shaft protection and also excellent glance out mitigation. While shooting groups during field competition I can’t tell you how my points I’ve dropped from hitting competitors pin bushings and the fired shaft landing in the four ring. Not with Top Hat’s bushings! The angle of the shoulder of the .244 pin couples with the angle of their points and allows the fired arrow to “ride” down the shaft versus being ricocheted into a lower scoring ring. From experience the .15 pins protect the back end of the shaft very nicely. The .15 pins also do not deflect tightly grouped arrows. I’ve replaced numerous bushings that have been broken off or damaged due to arrow strikes and the striking arrow is always right beside the damaged pin. From spin testing three dozen pin bushings I have yet to come across a bushing post that wasn’t straight. So you can feel confident that your arrow will fly true when you need to replace a bushing.
